Did you know...?
On Friday, July 25, 2014, the Wabash Park Camp Pavilion mortgage was officially burned in a celebration service. It has been a long road since the storm that damaged the old pavilion, but through the faithfulness of God and the generosity of the church families across the Wabash Conference we were blessed to see this day of financial freedom.
Starting this Sunday evening Pastor Mark will begin teaching a seminar on Biblical Conflict Resolution. Says Mark, "It is a very good seminar. Most of us don't know or put into practice what the Bible says about resolving conflict. I know that I can certainly use a refresher."
Join us at 6:00 PM this Sunday evening.
The Valentine Banquet has been cancelled due to an insufficient number of sign-ups.
The Board Meeting that was postponed last week due to weather will be held this evening at 7:30 PM.
Dates have been set for out church to host a Men's and a Women's Lenten Breakfast this year. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Operation Christmas Child is coming soon! Every year our Wednesday Night kids fill shoeboxes for this program and this year - thanks to our VBS - we have OVER ONE HUNDRED BOXES TO WRAP!
Some of you have asked about the difficulties in wrapping the shoeboxes with hinged lids. Click the following link for a helpful video from OCC providing an easy tutorial for this process. Happy wrapping!
Our Bible Quizzing season has restarted with practices every Sunday evening, 5:30-7:00. If you are a middle-schooler or high-schooler who would be interested in studying the book of Matthew (in bite-sized portions) and competing against other churches to demonstrate your knowledge stop by and see us.
We also could use a couple extra adults to help with practices - running the kids through a "cruising" of the materials, testing them on quotes, etc. Talk to Annita Henson or David Blaize if you would be interested.
The postponed Society Meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, August 8, at 6:00 PM. This is our annual meeting to approve the Nominating Committee's proposed ballot of faculty and staff and to elect members into vacant positions.
While we had intended to have some work and cleaning done this morning, it appears the rain has other plans.
So we have rescheduled for two weeks from today: June 15. Adjust your calendars and we'll see you then.
And stay dry. =)
Today will be a special Morning Worship as we not only have a handful of new members to receive, but also the Carlisle family will be having their new baby dedicated!
Come and join us as we celebrate these special occasions.
From David B:
Pray for peace, guidance, and strength for my friend "CF" as he has encountered a critical crisis point in his life and is not dealing well with it.
