Introducing: Family Fellowship Night
There are 720 hours in the average month… can you afford to spend one or two hanging out with your church family?
If yes, we invite you to join us for a new monthly program currently called “Family Fellowship Night”. In an ever-increasingly busy world, it is often too easy to let meaningful connections slide aside to the point where we only see each other one hour on Sunday morning, and then the rest is whatever we post on Facebook.
In an effort to bring us together once in a while and get to know each other on a more personal level in a less-structured environment, we will be hosting a different program on the second or third Sunday evening of each month. These will be open to anyone who would like to attend, be of no cost to the participants, and give you a chance to see the great cloud of support that you can be a part of.
So bring your family… bring a friend or two… or just come alone and join in the activities.
February 17, 2019: Riddles & Puzzles, Oh My!
Can you team up with your family and friends to solve some brain-busters? A wide variety of puzzles will be used: number puzzles, word puzzles, visual puzzles… there should be something for everyone!
November 17, 2018: Christmas Cards for Shut-Ins
Over two-dozen people gathered to create hand-made Christmas cards for some of our church family who can’t make it to services as often as they would like. Many of these cards were even able to be hand-delivered by our teens as they visited the shut-ins in December. It was fun to watch some of our participants who claimed to have no creativity manage to create some very original cards! We also had a few cards made to send to the U.S. troops.
October 21, 2018: Trivia Night
We had about 35 participants in seven teams competing over trivia covering a wide range of topics from science & literature to movie theme songs & weird foods.
Our winning team consisted of Lori Mattingly, Ethan Hill, Kinsey Mattingly, and Noelle & Mark Schlechty.
