Our Hospitality Committee went above and beyond with preparing our church for this special event.
Mayor Frank Coleman brought greetings and words of appreciation for our church and its service to the community.
Mayor Coleman presented Pastor Mark with a document proclaiming October 5, 2014 as "Petersburg Free Methodist Church Appreciation Day."

A musical special was brought by Noelle Schlechty (right) backed up by Winnie & David Foster.
Pastor Mark took a few minutes to recognize our volunteers in our various programs and ministries in which our church is involved, including our Wednesday Night Program, Kids Hope, JAM Club, and the Center for Women's Ministries.
Pastor Mark took the opportunity to bestow the titles & privileges of Pastor Emeritus on our two retired pastors who are integral parts of our church family: Pastor Ed Bennett (center) & Pastor Paul Newton (right).
We were privileged to have one of our former pianists, Barbara Rayman, to rejoin us this Sunday to play our offertory.
Our last musical special for the morning was brought by Jodi Correll as she ministered to us with American Sign Language to music.
It was an honor to have our message brought to us by Wabash Conference Superintendent Joe James as he spoke to us about what kind of man he wants to be as he gets older. (His choice was Caleb.)
